Conduct & Discipline
Discipline is the backbone of every development. This is especially true of an educational institution. Discipline at school is formative, not repressive and helps the student to develop self control, which is the essence of a well-ordered and successful life. Therefore , the school expects of its students to conform to certain regulations aimed at the growth of the entire school, and more so, of the individual student.
    • Every student must carry the school diary with her/him everyday.
    • All students must speak English in the School.
    • All students are expected to be present for the assembly.
    • Students are required to leave the classroom during the recess.
    • The warning bell before class is a signal for all students to go to their class rooms silently.
    • No student is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission granted by the Principal. Such permission can be granted only at the specific written request of the Parents/Guardians.
    • Any student desiring to be exempted from P.T. or games must produce a doctor’s certificate to the effect that she/he is physically unfit to take part in them.
    • Students will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours. To call home, they should use the telephone at the office counter. This can be done by getting permission from the Principal and a payment of nominal charges.
    • All letters and correspondence addressed to students are subject to scrutiny by the Principal.
    • Students should be habitually clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on all school days. The boys should have short hair. Girls should tie their hair in plaits and ribbons. They are forbidden to wear any fancy hair clips, nail paint or mehndi. A student who is slovenly dressed may not be permitted to enter the classroom or may even be sent home.
    • Students must show respect to the members of the staff. They should stand up and greet them when they enter their class as well as when they leave the classroom and even whenever they meet them in the corridor/outside school premises.
    • Students are required to show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Refined behaviour should be a distinct feature of every student of this school.
    • Running, playing, shouting and whistling in the corridors or inside the school building is not permitted.
    • Proper care should be taken of the school property and no student should scratch or spoil desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the wall or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher or the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the guilty. Any student who sees something damaged should report the matter to the Principal even if she/he does not know about the defaulter.
    • No student should bring any sharp edged instruments to school.
    • The Principal has the right to confiscate books, newspapers, periodicals, cell phones, pagers, radio phones, ipods, personal stereos, CD’s cassettes, cosmetics and any other objectionable item from the student. The confiscated articles will not be handed over to anyone but parents and a heavy fine will be levied.
    • The students must take care of their belongings. Students must not bring valuables like expensive and fancy watches, pens etc. to school. No student is permitted to wear jewellery of any kind in the school campus.
    • Students below class V should not wear wrist watches in the school. The school shall not be held responsible in the event of loss or of damage to any such articles.
    • Money should not be lent or borrowed, nor should articles be exchanged, bought or sold among the students.
    • No collection of money for any purpose whatsoever is to be made and no meeting, demonstration, party or picnic be held without the prior permission of the Principal. This rule is also applicable to parties organized privately and/or outside school for selection, promotion, change of section, shuffling of class or leaving school or nomination to any post or award or any other similar reason. Under the same rule any excursion, outing, visit, including visit to a cinema, in a group cannot be made without the permission of the Principal.
    • Gifts to the members of the staff or any gathering in their honour also requires the prior sanction of the Principal.
    • Students are not permitted to attend the parties, watch movies or go to friends or relatives houses on their way to school or back home from school.
    • The Principal has the right to suspension of any student without having to state any reason that such a step is necessary in the interest of the school.
    • Students of the school are strictly prohibited to ride scooters and motor cycles or drive jeeps, cars, vans etc. to school.
    • Students who come to school escorted by servants/drivers or guards should never leave before the authorized person arrives. Delay of any kind should be reported to the school office.
    • Those who go home on their own should reach home straight without loitering about on the way.
    • Students are warned not to buy anything, especially eatables from street vendors.
    • The students should behave in a refined manner wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should always greet their teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant and audible tone whenever they meet them in school or outside.
