Welcoming the New Academic Session: A Journey of Learning and Growth
As the dawn broke on the academic landscape of Sacred Heart Convent International School, the school community stood on the threshold of a new journey filled with promise, potential, and boundless opportunities. The start of the 2024-25 academic session was not just a new beginning but a celebration of continuity, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of learning that defines the school.
In the cherished tradition of the school, the students gathered together for their Welcome Assembly, a moment of collective reflection, inspiration, and anticipation. It was a time to reaffirm their commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and nurturing the holistic development of every student who walked through their doors.
The senior most classes presented a thoughtful assembly about what it means to be a good student and the hallmarks of a student who is willing to strive to be the best version of themselves.
A short dance and song routine helped cheer up the students and put bright smile on their faces. Sister Principal addressed the students and urged
them to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead with courage, curiosity, and an open mind. The school initiated a new tradition wherein a class representative from each class was presented with a small jade plant that they will nourish and nurture throughout the year. Each class is expected to take responsibility of their class plant and present it back to their teachers at the end of the year during the gratitude assembly. This small act has been put in place to imbue a sense of belonging and responsibility in the class as a whole.
The students and teachers welcomed the new academic session by ending the Welcome Assembly by dancing their hearts out in a special Zumba session organised by the dance teachers of the school. Together, as they danced their way to new beginnings they sent reaffirmations up to the Almighty to help make the coming year, a year of learning, discovery, and boundless possibilities.
