Welcoming Our Little Learners: A Recap of Our Parent Orientation for Nursery and KG Students
As the school gates swung open to welcome the newest members of our academic family – the nursery and KG students – the new set of parent who will be joining us on this journey were invited over for an orientation programme. This event wasn’t about paperwork and schedules instead it was a warm embrace extended to the parents to ensure a smooth sailing into the exciting world of education.
The orientation kicked off with informative sessions led by our experienced educators. Parents were briefed on various aspects of our curriculum, daily routines, and the importance of parental involvement in their child’s learning journey. Detailed explanations were provided regarding school policies, safety measures, and communication channels to ensure transparency and trust.
Sr. Shanthi, the Principal of the school, extended a heartfelt welcome to the parents while welcoming them to the portals of the Sacred Heart Family. While addressing the parents, she assured them that they were an integral part of the school and encouraged them to seek her out incase of any concerns and queries. She talked about how the school aimed at bridging the gap between national and international curriculum so as to prepare our students for the global academic standards.
To foster a sense of community and to encourage healthy gentle parenting, renowned parenting coach and counselor, Ms. Maninderjit Ahuja was the chosen resource person for the event. She presented a
deeply thoughtful and a wonderfully worded session which aimed at encouraging the parents to be more patient and empathetic towards their little ones.
As the orientation drew to a close, heartfelt words of gratitude were extended to the parents for entrusting us with their children’s early education.
The parent orientation for nursery and KG students was not just an event; it was a celebration of new beginnings, forging connections, and laying the groundwork for a successful educational journey.
