Unveiling the Mysteries of the Moon
On 23 January, 2024, students from Grade 1 to 9 embark on a captivating voyage into the awe-inspiring realm of space exploration through a workshop conducted by SPACE EXPLORERS.
The moon, a constant companion in our night sky, has captured the imagination of humanity for centuries. The Moon, with its craters, mountains, mare and terrae continues to inspire wonder and curiosity in the hearts of stargazers around the world. As the students gaze upon the Moon’s serene visage in the night sky, the features of the moon serve as a reminder of the celestial drama unfolding just beyond our reach.
Firstly, the resource person taught them about features of moon and all the planets of solar system through a stimulating presentation. They were given demonstration of the working of telescope. Our young scholars were not mere spectators; they were active participants in this cosmic adventure. With a telescope, our students had the opportunity to transcend the limits of Earth and peer directly into the craters and landscapes of the moon. A group of students, gathered around the telescope, their eyes widening with awe as they caught their first glimpse of the moon’s surface.
Overall, it was a moment of silence, interrupted only by gasps of amazement. Perhaps, among the students who witnessed the moon through the telescope, there is a budding astronomer, an aspiring scientist, or a dreamer who now envisions a future among the stars.
