On July 4, 2025, Sacred Heart Convent International School celebrated Yoga Day with its youngest learners—the bright and bubbly students of LKG and UKG. The campus came alive with excitement as the little ones unrolled their mats and stepped into a morning filled with movement, mindfulness, and magical moments.
The session was led by the energetic team from Everest Yoga Institute, with Ms. Sanya as the main facilitator, supported by two experienced instructors. Their engaging and child-friendly approach ensured that every child participated with joy and confidence.
The event began with gentle stretches and light jogging to get their bodies moving, followed by fun balancing poses that had the little ones giggling yet focused. The yoga flow featured creatively named poses like Camel, Downward Dog, Boat, Cute Cobra, Milkshake, and more—each evoking smiles and sparking curiosity.
The session concluded with calming poses, breathing exercises, and a soothing recital of the Gayatri Mantra, gently introducing children to the spiritual and meditative side of yoga.
The experience not only improved their balance, flexibility, and motor coordination, but also nurtured a sense of calm and joyful self-expression. It was a delightful blend of learning, laughter, and life skills—a memorable celebration of wellness in its most playful and innocent form.
