On the chilly evening of November 28, 2024, the students of Grade 9A and 9B embarked on a heartfelt mission to spread warmth and kindness. Gathering at the school premises at 8 PM, they were joined by their teachers—Ma’am Naiya, Ma’am Sakshi, and Ma’am Japleen—as well as Sister Principal, Sister Vice Principal, and Sister Diana, the Superior of the Convent, for a late-night blanket distribution drive.
The group visited multiple locations, including Jagraon Pul, Durga Mata Mandir, and the railway station, distributing blankets, toiletries, and edibles to those in need. The initiative not only aimed to ease the discomfort of winter but also served as a profound learning experience for the students.
As they handed out these essential items, the students were deeply moved by the smiles and gratitude of the recipients. This humbling encounter made them more aware of the stark social inequalities around them and instilled a sense of gratitude for their own privileges.
Beyond the act of giving, the drive was an opportunity for personal growth. The students returned with a sense of pride and fulfillment, knowing they had made a meaningful difference. The experience underscored the power of compassion and collective action in building a better world.
This initiative, rooted in empathy and service, left an enduring impact on everyone involved, embodying the true spirit of humanity.
