Sowing Seeds of Sustainability: SHCIS’s Green Initiative on Independence Day
Senior school students of SHCIS embarked on a noble endeavour on the occasion of the 77th freedom celebration of the country. The glorious morning of 15th August 2024 was marked with zeal and anticipation as the young environmentalists set off to plant saplings and fruit trees at the new school land at Thakur Colony, Ludhiana, accompanied by the representatives of School management, faculty and support staff.
Initiated with a deep sense of purpose and shared responsibility towards the planet, the tree-plantation drive was a united effort aimed at sustainability and environmental conservation. Students were fervently engaged in the act of planting, watering and nurturing each sapling with utmost care as their hands moved in tandem with their hearts.
While the nation celebrated its independence, the enthusiastic eco-champions fruitfully utilized the opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting and preserving Mother Earth, the home of humanity, for future generations.
As the newly planted trees will grow, so will the impact of the initiative, inspiring others to strive towards a greener tomorrow.
