SHINING RAY OF HOPE
SHCIS had organised a visit for our Junior Students of Grade-III to a special child care school, Ashirwad NICPA (The North India Cerebral Palsy Association). It is a prominent NGO of Punjab working for children and adults with development disabilities. “ Hope sustains life and this institution takes pride as they gave hope to many….”
The students were accompanied by Sister Sabina(Vice Principal of SHCIS), Ma’am Manpreet and Ma’am Sahiba (Primary Teachers) and Sir Ashish (Music Teacher) to Ashirwad school.
As we entered the school we were welcomed with open arms.
Our students were excited as well as curious to know about differently abled people.
On this charitable endeavour our students got an opportunity to see the different ways taken up by the school to help and teach the students who need special care.
Interacting with the teachers and students became an enlightening experience. Each individual regardless of their disability, exuded unique talents and the creativity knew no bounds.
Different activities were performed like dancing and singing creating a bond of friendship and mutual respect. It is humbling to see that differences cease to exist when empathy and compassion prevails.
This charitable visit left an indelible impression on our class, reminding us that the true essence of humanity lies in extending kindness, understanding, and support to those who may navigate life’s journey differently. It was a day that taught us immeasurable lessons of empathy.
