Sacred Heart Convent International School (SHCIS) proudly participated in the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations Australia 2025, held in Sydney from May 28th to June 04th, under the esteemed Future Leaders Programme curated by Worldview Education.
A delegation of 15 passionate and well-prepared students represented SHCIS, embarking on an inspiring journey of global diplomacy, leadership, and cross-cultural learning under the guidance of the worthy Principal Sister Shanthi Dsouza and Faculty Advisor Ms. Japleen Kaur.
The school’s involvement in this international event marked a significant milestone in its commitment to fostering future-ready global citizens.
Notably, Meher Sandhu received the “Outstanding Delegate” award in the simulation of the United Nations Environment Programme committee and the SHCIS delegation was honored as the “Best International Delegation,” recognizing their exemplary performance.
Beyond the conference, students experienced Australian culture and history through visits to the University of Sydney, the Consulate General of India, the Australian National Maritime Museum, and The Rocks. The group also explored Sydney’s natural and urban beauty, from the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park to Vivid Sydney, concluding at the world-famous Opera House.
This journey has fostered personal growth, global awareness, and strengthened intercultural bonds. As our students return with new perspectives and aspirations, this experience stands as a transformative chapter in their development as future leaders.
