“Being conscious is equivalent to celebrating oneself”
On May 1,2024 SHCIS organized a staff orientation programme aimed at exploring the concept of integrated education and the importance of discovering, exploring and knowing the self. The session was conducted by Father Nishant Surya, IMS, Acharya of Bharat Mata Ashram Kurukshetra and was presided over by Sr. Chantal, Manager SHCIS, Sr. Shanthi Dsouza, the Principal and Sr. Sabina the Vice Principal.
The orientation focused on consciousness and the hierarchy of knowledge – the highest of which leads to Atmagyan i.e. the knowledge of the self. Different activities like reflection, meditation and chanting of Mantras were conducted to connect the mind and the soul, culminating in a Prayer at the end of each session. Through the path of self-ignorance, Ego blocking the self, self -emptiness and self-appointment the final destination of self- acceptance was revealed.

The session was concluded with a prayer of surrender to the almighty, where reflections were written down on paper to be presented to Agni (sacred fire).
