In anticipation of the upcoming Foundation Day on 16th July, Sacred Heart Convent International School came alive with joy, reverence, and reflection as we paid tribute to our founder, Servant of God Msgr. Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, through an inspiring Foundation Day Quiz held on Saturday, 12th July.
The celebration began on a melodious note, as the students of Grades 1 and 2 captivated everyone with heartfelt songs dedicated to Father Mascarenhas and his profound vision for education. Their performance set a beautiful tone for the rest of the morning.
This year’s quiz wasn’t just an event—it was a meaningful journey through the life and legacy of Father RFC Mascarenhas, the visionary founder of the Bethany Congregation. Designed to highlight his values of love, service, and inclusive education, the quiz invited students from Classes 6 to 9 to explore the story behind our school’s foundation.
With great enthusiasm and spirit, participants competed with both knowledge and heart—not merely for points, but to honour the mission of a humble priest who believed in the power of education for every child. It was heartwarming to witness students cheer each other on, engage deeply with the questions, and reflect on what it means to live by the values of our founder.
After a tightly contested round of questions and answers, the final results were as follows:
???? First Place – Grade 7-B
???? Second Place – Grade 9-A
???? Third Place – Grade 8-A
More Than Just a Competition
What made the celebration truly special was the spirit behind it. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about remembering, relating, and reconnecting with our roots. The quiz served as a beautiful reminder that our school is not just a place of learning, but a legacy of love, compassion, and service.
As we now look ahead to Foundation Day on 16th July, this event has set the perfect tone—grounding us in purpose and unity. It reminded us all that we are part of something greater than ourselves: a living legacy built on the dreams of Father Mascarenhas, whose belief in every child’s potential continues to shine brightly in our halls today.
