A Winter at Harvard : More Than Just Lectures
The Harvard Young Global Leaders Program took place from January 5th to 12th in Massachusetts , USA. Tranya , Geet , Kunwar, Anvvi and I started off our journey on the 2nd with a whirlwind of excitement and anticipation. We explored the city for the first two days. This program was an enriching and fulfilling experience for us all. We delved into thought-provoking discussions, interactive workshops and most importantly got an opportunity to collaborate with students from around the world. Our days started with rotational classes about a series of domains, however my favourite was public speaking as it gave me a chance to improve myself not just as a speaker but change as a person. Through constructive feedback and practice, we gradually learnt how to articulate our ideas into impactful presentations and research projects. We got a chance to interact with the Harvard faculty , study in the University building and engage in insightful debates and seminars. The camp had several evening outings planned for each day providing us a welcoming break. These outings helped us build long lasting friendships, and gain a deeper understanding about the city. The Camp was more than just academics, it was a transformative journey for each student that developed them as a person in their own way.

Attending the Harvard College Union Society 2025 Winter Camp was unforgettable. In Boston, we explored new places, learned new things, and made lasting memories. We toured prestigious institutions like MIT and Harvard University, spending a week engaged in debates, discussions, and deliberations at Harvard’s Northwest Building.
At MIT, we were awestruck by the balance of historic and futuristic architecture, with intricate carvings on the walls showcasing groundbreaking discoveries. The Harvard tour was transformative, walking through the Harvard Yard and landmarks like Widener Library and Memorial Hall made our ambitions grow ten-fold. We touched John Harvard’s foot, because who wouldn’t want free good luck? Exploring Harvard square, we brought back Harvard merchandise that will remind us of every single memory we made on this once in a lifetime trip. This was truly nothing short of an incredible experience where learning and adventure went hand in hand.
