HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY!
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervor in Sacred Heart Convent International School. A plethora of performances were showcased in the RFC auditorium to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students.
The celebrations commenced with a prayer followed by the prayer song. The youngest learners of our school showcased the National Symbols and danced to the tunes of patriotic songs.
The students were also made aware about the preamble of the constitution, through an act.
A powerful skit was enacted by the students of lower secondary classes laying importance on the opportunities children have in our Nation.
The learners of Primary department presented a soulful dance on ‘Bharat Desh hai mera’ which was filled with purity and innocence emphasizing on Unity in Diversity.
School Principal Sr. Shanthi D’souza inspired the students with her motivational words highlighting the duties and rights of Indian citizens.
Following this, grade 6th explained the importance of Republic Day through an impactful message ‘Great humans make Great Nation’.
Taking the slogan ‘Our Nation Our Pride’ students of class 5th A swayed depicting the six fundamental rights. Furthermore, girls of grade 6th presented a delightful poetic tribute to our motherland.
Lastly, words of gratitude were spoken to thank the almighty, Our worthy Sister Principal and our esteemed Sister Vice Principal for giving us an opportunity to participate wholeheartedly. The event concluded with the rendition of the ‘National Anthem’.
The Sacred Heart Convent Family gathered together in the school grounds to salute the spirit of sovereign India. The function marked the unfurling of the National flag by the guest of honour Dr. Vikram accompanied by Rev. Principal Sr. Veena. Bethany sisters and teachers gathered in unison to salute the National Flag and sing the National Anthem with patriotic pride. In the end, sweets were distributed to celebrate the day of National Rejoicement.
