On July 1, 2025, Sacred Heart Convent International School, Ludhiana, successfully conducted a Faculty Development Workshop titled “Future-Ready Teaching: A Faculty Workshop on Tech & AI”. The session was led by Dr. Maninder Singh, Head Professor – Computer Science & Engineering, Thapar University and CTO, and aimed at enhancing teachers’ understanding of digital tools, cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence in education.
Dr. Singh began with a simplified explanation of internet basics, including architecture, IP addresses, and data transmission, making the digital world more accessible to educators. He then covered essential cybersecurity practices such as password safety, phishing awareness, and responsible digital citizenship. A key segment introduced AI tools for personalized learning and basic coding, while also discussing ethical use. Dr. Singh concluded by sharing ongoing learning resources for professional growth.
The workshop was enriching and impactful, equipping teachers to confidently integrate technology into 21st-century classrooms.
