On July 15, 2024, SHCIS celebrated it’s 103rd anniversary of the Bethany Congregation.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Sister Chantal (Manager of the Sacred Heart Family), Sister Diana (Superior of the Convent), and Sister Lancia along with the Principal of the School, Sister Shanthi and Vice Principal, Sister Sabina.
The event began with a soulful prayer and a prayer dance, setting a reflective and joyous tone. Students delivered a beautiful narration of Father Mascarenhas’s journey and his vision for the upliftment of society, which was both inspiring and informative.
A highlight of the celebration was the launch of school’s first-ever magazine, SHCIS ECHOES, by the reverent Sisters. This milestone marks a significant achievement in the school’s journey from its humble beginnings to its current eminent stature. The magazine received an enthusiastic response from the students, who were eager to see their own creative representations and renditions in it.
Sister Chantal addressed the students with words of encouragement. She assured them that they would continue to set new benchmarks every year, strengthening the school’s proud legacy with even greater achievements.
The event concluded by expressing the school’s collective gratitude towards the congregation and a promise to keep the light of Father Mascarenhas’s vision burning bright.
