SHCI school organised an educational cum experiential excursion for the young scholars of grade 5 on the 10th day of May.Our students, accompanied by their teachers, embarked on a thrilling journey into the heart of the cycling industry-the Avon Cycles Industrial unit.
The students were given a rousing reception by the perfect hosts for the day- Mrs. and Mr. Rishi Pahwa and the Avon team.
Young Cambrianites witnessed the Avon Cycles Factory unit,as they pedalled through the corridors of knowledge, embracing the harmony of craftsmanship and technology. Visiting a prominent cycle manufacturing unit helped them delve into the intricate processes that brings the two-wheeled wonders to life.
With curiosity as their guide, students witnessed the transformation of raw materials into sleek, efficient bicycles. From the initial design phase to precision engineering and assembly, every step of the manufacturing process was revealed, providing invaluable insight into the craftsmanship behind each cycle. Beyond the machinery and assembly lines, students discovered the dedication and innovation driving the industry forward. They engaged with the industry professionals gaining first-hand knowledge of the latest trends and technological advancements, which shape the future of the ‘World of Wheels.’ The highlight of the day out trip was a short video clipping of the Avon journey; its growth trajectory and vision for the future.
This immersive experience not only deepened students’ understanding of manufacturing but also fostered a newfound appreciation for the role of bicycles in promoting health, sustainability, and community connectivity.
As they returned to the campus, inspired and enlightened, our students carried with them a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the world of wheels. It was indeed an enriching experience which empowered the young minds to embrace curiosity, explore diverse industries and envision the limitless possibilities of their future endeavours.
