At Sacred Heart Convent International School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana, we embarked on an exhilarating and educational journey on 21st October, 2023 that transcended the boundaries of our classrooms and textbooks. Our students from Grade 1 to Grade 9 were treated to a unique and immersive space exploration activity, which not only acquainted them with the wonders of the universe but also ignited their curiosity and inspired their dreams.
The journey commenced with a captivating presentation by The Space Exploration team.
Our students were spellbound as they learned about key achievements in space exploration, such as the moon landing, space telescopes, Mars rovers, and the International Space Station via presentations, animations and videos. They discovered how rovers on Mars were unearthing the secrets of the Red Planet. This not only educated our students but also instilled a sense of pride in these monumental accomplishments.
This space exploration activity was not limited to passive learning. Our students had the opportunity to engage hands-on through model making of the miniatures of Rover and a Satellite. They had the chance to ask questions, discuss ideas, and ponder the mysteries of the universe. Their active participation underscored the spirit of exploration that we aim to foster at our school.
