On 18th July 2025, a group of students from Class VI to VIII of Sacred Heart Convent International School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana visited the Children’s Traffic Park, Model Town as part of an educational initiative to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety.
The visit was organized under the supervision of the school staff and in collaboration with the local Traffic Police Department. The students were welcomed by Road Safety Co-ordinators who conducted an interactive session on the importance of obeying traffic signals, pedestrian safety, the use of helmets and seat belts, and the dangers of overspeeding and drunk driving.
The park featured miniature roads, traffic lights, signboards, and zebra crossings, which allowed students to experience real-life road scenarios in a safe environment. They were also given a demonstration on how to cross roads safely and the meaning of various traffic signs.
The visit proved to be highly informative and engaging. Students learned the importance of being responsible road users and pledged to follow traffic rules. The school plans to organize more such trips in the future to reinforce practical learning.
