In a vibrant celebration of environmental stewardship, Sacred Heart Convent International School, collaborated with EcoSikh to host a dynamic and interactive eco-awareness event aimed at nurturing ecological responsibility among students across all age groups. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation and was graced by a dedicated team from EcoSikh.

The event featured simultaneous green activities across different school venues, ensuring every student had an immersive, hands-on learning experience:

  • Grades 1 to 4 engaged in seed ball making and paper cup sapling activities, led by Pooja Garg and Aanya Garg, helping the children understand the impact of small actions on environmental sustainability.
  • Grades 5 to 8 took part in the creative and eco-friendly Kokedama activity, under the guidance of Anju Chhabra Bagga, the general secretary of the club.
  • Grades 9 to 12 participated in a thought-provoking interactive session with Supreet Kaur, President of EcoSikh India, who inspired students with her insights on climate action, sustainable living, and faith-based ecological responsibility.
  • A day prior, the youngest learners of LKG and UKG took part in a symbolic and joyful handprint activity, pledging to protect the environment.

The entire programme was a powerful reminder of the role each one of us plays in preserving the planet. With EcoSikh’s continued commitment and the active involvement of students and staff, the event successfully sowed seeds of awareness, action, and hope for a greener future.
