More than 80 students from Grades 7th to 11th of our school enthusiastically participated in the SHS Model United Nations Conference 2023, hosted by Sacred Heart Convent School on 4th and 5th November 2023. Young debaters assumed the roles of Global Diplomats and
represented various countries in 15 different committees, discussing and resolving global issues ranging from Rights of Prisoners, Medical Impact of Chemical Warfare to Measures to Counter Terrorism in the MiddleEast, Non-Proliferation Treaty and the conflict in the Korean Peninsula. After two days of delving into the world of Debate and Diplomacy, deliberations and discussions, our students brought home 18 laurels: 7 High Commendations, 7 Special Mentions and 4 Verbal Mentions. It was indeed a moment of pride for the school and our able MUN Mentor Ms. Japleen Kaur, under whose guidance the delegation represented SHCIS at the conference.
