CELEBRATING THE TIMELESS ODYSSEY OF BES
Sacred Heart Convent International school celebrated the momentous occasion – the closing ceremony of 75th anniversary of the Bethany Educational Society with great zeal and fervor. Over the decades, this institution has nurtured minds, fostered growth, and stood as a beacon of knowledge and excellence. As our school embarked on this joyous journey of celebration, we reflected upon the remarkable achievements and milestones that our school as a part of BES has achieved. From enlightening Quiz to thought provoking poster making and enactment activities, students were engaged in a myriad of activities that paid tribute to the legacy of the Bethany Educational Society.
BES QUIZ COMPETITION
10.07.23
To further the flame of human learning, Sacred Heart Convent International School took the initiative of edifying the pupil about the History of Bethany Education Society, in the wake of the celebration of its Platinum Jubilee. The students were actively involved in researching and learning which was then assessed collectively through an interclass quiz competition within which important Questions were posed which not only evaluated the pupil’s knowledge, but also gave them a chance to ponder over the bigger picture that we all, as a family, are a part of.
Enactments
On 29 July,2023 We gathered not only to honour the legacy of a true educational luminary but also to pledge ourselves to the realization of his profound vision.
The young minds of Sacred Heart Convent International School took a centre stage and immersed themselves in the historical journey of the Servant of God (Mgr. RFC Mascarenhas). By embodying characters, Students of Grade 1 to grade 3 dove into the early life and achievements of the father founder. They showed how father carried out his mission as a zealous priest and compassionate pastor.
Whereas, Grade 4 and Grade 5 students presented the contributions made by the Bethany sisters in the formation and registration of Bethany Educational Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and its commitment to undertake not only education but also works of charity and mercy by caring for the poor and the needy.
“Bethany’s Legacy: Celebrating Achievements and Vision Through Inter-Class Competition”

Students in grades 6 and 7 were tasked with highlighting Bethany’s achievements, while those in grades 8 and 9 were asked to focus on Bethany’s vision for the future. The students’ work was incredibly creative and thought-provoking, showcasing a deep understanding of Bethany’s history and future goals.
Honoring Our Core values

Ranging from BES quiz, Poster making, Timeless tales in the form of a Newsletter, Core-Value application and Sports-contests; a series of events fairly and clearly brought out, and highlighted the BES principles and educational pedagogy.
A short program Honoring our CoreValues effectuated on 12 August 2023, was an initiative by SHCIS to outline a productive close to the opportune year.
