To commemorate the Foundation Day of the Bethany Congregation, a solemn and joyous celebration was held on July 14th at SHCIS, bringing together the entire school community in a spirit of gratitude, faith, and fellowship.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Sr. Helen, Superior of the Convent and Headmistress of KG, SHCS; Sr. Chantal, Manager of Sacred Heart Convent and Sacred Heart Convent International School; Sr. Prema, Principal, SHCIS; Sr. Sabina, Vice Principal, SHCIS; Sr. Zelie, the torchbearer of SHCIS; Sr. Nicoline, Sr. Alodia and Sr. Martha Nancy who joined the celebration on this special occasion.
The event unfolded with a series of heartwarming presentations by the students where students travelled back in time and met Servant of God, RFC Mascarenhas and the 4 pioneers.
The students of Grade IX presented a compelling enactment of Bethany’s core values, underscoring the power of prayer and the enduring ideals of love, service, compassion, humility, and commitment in the present times.
Further, the melodious prayer song and choral performance filled the atmosphere with reverence and joy.
Adding another feather to the institution’s cap, the third edition of the school’s magazine – The Echoes of SHCIS; Imagine, Ignite, Implore – was officially unveiled and released during the programme, marking yet another milestone in the school’s journey of excellence.
Addressing the gathering, Sr. Helen eloquently shared the significance of Bethany’s Foundation Day, inspiring the students to imbibe the timeless values that form the very foundation of the Bethany mission.
The programme concluded on a cheerful note with an enthralling and vibrant celebratory dance presented by the students of grade 1 and distribution of sweets, leaving every heart filled with happiness and gratitude.
