Baisakhi Bliss: Embracing Tradition and Unity in Celebration
Baisakhi, also known as Vaisakhi, marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year and commemorates the formation of Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699. Celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm, Baisakhi holds special significance in our country .
Sacred Heart Convent International School celebrated the fervour of this festival with full zeal and enthusiasm.
One of the highlights of our Baisakhi celebrations was the vibrant and colorful decorations adorning the school premises.
The celebrations kicked off by making the students aware about this harvest festival, its importance and rituals. A serene picture of Gurdwara was shown and the teacher led the students into a divine experience by doing Ardaas.
Then the students performed various activities like speaking and dancing and showed their enormous talents.
Sr Shanthi, The Principal and Sr Sabina, The Vice Principal graced the occasion by interacting with the students in the class during activities.
At the end the tinytots were asked to do bhangra on dhol beats to rejoice the spirit of Baisakhi with their fellow friends.
