On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary, the tiny tots from LKG to UKG had the privilege of visiting the Gurudwara on 8th November 2024, accompanied by our Principal, Sr. Shanthi DSouza. Opportunities like these are invaluable for young learners, as they nurture cultural awareness, spiritual growth, and respect for diversity.
The children, with their heads respectfully covered, were warmly welcomed into the Gurudwara. They were immersed in the serene environment, observing the prayers and understanding the teachings of Sikhism, which emphasize equality, selfless service, and devotion to God. The young learners were also guided on how to respectfully offer their prayers and bow before the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs.
A memorable moment of the visit was the partaking of Karah Prasad, a sacred offering symbolizing divine blessings and equality. The children relished the prasad and learned about its significance as a gesture of unity and grace.
This enriching experience left an indelible mark on the children, instilling values of humility, gratitude, and community. The joy and enthusiasm on their faces reflected the profound impact of this spiritual journey, making it a day to remember.
