From Diplomacy to Self Discovery
A delegation of 9 students represented SHCIS at the Harvard Model United Nations India 2023, a simulation of the UN where delegates master the skill of diplomacy and debate, lobbying and drafting resolutions while building friendships with people from diverse backgrounds and creating memories of a lifetime. This International level exposure reformed students into becoming better global citizens. Under the able guidance of Faculty advisor Ms Japleen Kaur and the leadership of the head delegate Jai Madhav Goel, delegates – Meher Sandhu, Geet Kaur, Tranya Virmani, Maheen Kaur Dhaliwal, Akshit Gupta, Rayaansh Pahwa, Rajveer Soni and Samev Salooja – not only earned SHCIS another feather in its cap by debating on global issues in committees of 100-200 delegates, but also left an indelible print on the hearts of more than 1200 delegates present at the conference. This experience was indeed no less than a showcase of magic, talent, bonding and unveiling of inner potential.
